Star Stringing has been located in Coachella Valley since 1989. Our team of Master Technicians has strung for the BNP Paribas Indian Wells, Cincinnati, Toronto, Montreal, Wimbledon, French Open, Monte Carlo as well as Challenger circuit events.

The CC Tennis Club is located in back of the Hyatt Vacation Club at Desert Oasis, 34567 Cathedral Canyon Drive in Cathedral City, CA 92234.

#1 GETTING YOUR RACKET RESTRUNG
"It is important to relate to how the strings feel for control, power and touch. Some players like a fresh feel and others like the strings to work in a bit.

Strings don't last forever, so continue to be aware of them. Same thing goes for replacement grips or over-wraps, as the racket becomes the extension of the hand.

Shape and feel are important, as some players apply different amounts of pressure at ball contact."

#2 RACQUET CUSTOMIZATION
"Tennis racket customization is a foreign term to most 'club players' and yet no 'pro player' will step on the court without it.

The weighing and balancing of a tennis racquet is comparable to the driver's seat in a new car. How many people don't adjust it forward or backward before they get set to drive?

This comparison is valid - adding weight to the head or the handle of the racket changes the balance and feel to the racket.

Just like strings and grips help the player to develop more feel, so does this form of racket customization. An old racket can take on a new "feel" for very little expense."

#3 SWITCH HANDS BETWEEN POINTS

"Whether you're right-handed or left-handed, club members general continue to grip the racket in the playin ghand when the point is over. Have you noticed that this is not so with the pros? Why?

First of all, switching hands momentarily when the ball is not in play, gives the playing hand a rest between points.

Secondly, utilizing the other hand to hold the racket helps those with a one-handed backhand 'take back the racket' (i.e., turning the shoulder).

Thirdly, it helps those who may need to make a grip change quickl, especially the backhand volley.

Finally, balance is better in the ready position when both hands are in play."
